I recently had a discussion in a Mom’s group about children being able to get out of their car seats in the car. Evenflo has recalled one of their booster seats due to this happening, and giving owners a new harness so it doesn’t happen again. Check out the full press release below for directions if you have one of these models:
MIAMISBURG, OH (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 21, 2016
Evenflo has announced a voluntary recall on select models of its Evolve Booster Seat over concerns that some children can access and activate the harness adjustment button without adult assistance, and potentially loosen the harness. Evenflo is providing owners with a new harness adjustment button which will effectively eliminate this possibility. No injuries have been reported, but Evenflo wants to remind caregivers that a snug harness is essential to proper restraint.
Approximately 32,000 seats in the U.S. and Canada with model numbers 34411700, 34411741 and 34411700C, manufactured before February 9, 2016, are included in this voluntary recall.
To determine if your seat is affected and to order your remedy kit, visit http://www.evolve.evenflo.com or call 1-800-233-5921 (US)/1-800-265-0749 (Canada), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. The remedy kit includes a push-style harness adjustment button, to replace the existing pull-style button.
“Child safety is at the forefront of every decision we make,” said Sarah Haverstick, Evenflo Safety Advocate. “In conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Transport Canada, we are working to ensure all owners are aware of the voluntary campaign.”
