Comments foraCause

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. In response, I am dedicating all of the comments that I receive on my blog posts in September to the children and families affected with childhood cancer.  In doing so, I will donate $.25 for each comment to Children’s Cancer Connection, an organization near and dear to my heart.

Sept CCC
Children’s Cancer Connection is non-profit organization that provides programs and services to children affected with cancer and their families. I had the privilege to volunteer with them while I was in college, and I was constantly impressed. They help children focus on just being kids, rather than being sick, by offering everything from arts & crafts while they are in the hospital receiving treatment, to a free week at summer camp with other kids just like them.

Thankfully, I am blessed with healthy children of my own, but not all parents are that lucky. I invite all of my readers to be generous with your comments this month, and consider joining me in supporting this great organization–perhaps offering comments for a cause on your own blog!

  1. I have not heard of Children’s Cancer Connection before but it sounds like a great organization. I had a cousin that had cancer as a child, so I am all about any group that helps those children and their families during a both mentally, physically, and financially hard time. Love your Comments for a Cause program!

  2. This is a great cause and I am so excited that you are doing Comments for a Cause on your blog as well. I never dreamed others would jump on the bandwagon and now there are even more worthy cause being highlighted. This one is a fabulous one and I know that it is making differences in the lives of those kids. Thanks!
